N/A At least you're losing. I've been on a plataeu for months!

Keep going and you will get there. :) [MrsTittleMouse]

N/A I am in the same boat you are in.... I joined weight watchers in May I have lost a total of 19 lbs. From my heaviest ever...I have lost 39lbs. I wish I could lose the weight as fast I gain it. Keep up the good work. It won't come off right away, but it will. Keep trying and good luck. You have my full support. [jul1013] 2002-09-30 17:36:47

N/A at least im thinner than someone. i weighed in at 152.5 today. that was before i b/p. i should still be the same weight though. haha im 77.5 lbs lighter than u. thats like 5.5st. woo. [Anonymous] 2002-09-24 08:13:16

N/A losing weight huh? trying to do the same here! [Sweetshugar36] 2002-09-22 18:55:16

N/A One of the things I plan to do is jump rope. it is suppose to burn calories at a really high rate, build muscle and get your heart going. i loved your hints but i learned that eating 5-6 times a day but small amounts speeds up your metabolism. yoga and other stretching is a definite. [about time] 2002-09-21 01:41:52

N/A Make sure to balance a full body strength work out with jogging/walking/bike riding (walking is actually best, as there is low impact, but still as good of a work out as jogging) , aswell as heavy stretching. Stretching is extremely important for getting fit (not just for warming up, mind you) , and just stretching for 30 minutes / 1 hour a day will get you into shape. When you work out, walk, or stretch, try to let yourself slip into a more zen-like state aswell, don't stay too focused on the actual excercise, otherwise you will feel yourself grow tired even more. Music helps zoning out while working out. Also, as far as food goes, I would just recomend drinking allot of water, and eating like normal (though try to eat less often, not neccesarily less in quantity.). Healthier food will obviously help you lose weight though, just don't starve yourself or put yourself on a bland rice cake diet. [00 Loner 00] 2002-09-20 23:15:40

N/A you have started that is a big step! Find the good in you, you are worth fighting for! =o) I understand your frustration. I have been working at loosing weight myself. start out slow you you dont hurt so much you wont want to keep going. I will be here if you want to talk. [Westcoast] 2002-09-13 10:58:25

N/A be kind to yourself, small steps get your there just as well as large leaps, you will get there! keep on trying! [Westcoast] 2002-09-13 10:54:46

it's time to start over You diary really touched me...My mom has been over wieght since I was a lil baby.Shes around your wieght too..I really hope you can lose all the wieght you wish to lose! Good Luck [ConfusedKid] 2002-09-13 00:25:25

N/A I feel what your feeling girl.. check out my diary i think we have a lot in common.. i just get so discouraged and dont know what to do.. i feel like i jsut try my best to get threw everyday not really living.. lots of love to you .. ~ mandi [confused mandi] 2002-07-10 02:59:32

N/A i'm happy to hear your suggestion. i actually am going more by my measurements, but i am keeping an i on both. right now my major change is diet not exercise. yoga, tai chi, and aerobic exercise doesn't build large muscles, when i switch over to weights after getting more aerobicly fit I will concentrate on measurements only. by large muscles i mean compared even to 5lb weights. we are'nt talking MR universe here. [about time] 2002-03-19 19:28:38

N/A Here's a tip, don't ever get on a scale. Instead use a seamstrisses measuring tape, that is much more accurate than pounds. Because when your weighing yourself, take into consideration that your also measuring your muscle mass. It's also true that when you work out, you do sometimes gain weight because your muscle mass has increased. Good luck, and take care [Somebody for Someone] 2002-03-17 14:41:11

N/A i knnow exactly how you feel. but honestly, i do know you CANT restrict yourself soo much. Saying no meat is a bit drastic. take it one step at a time. cut back alittle each day or week as you add ona bit of exercise. do something you enjoy like walking in a park or bike riding...you may not want to hear this advice but i have struggled to and know that it is hard, but it can be enjoyable and dont ever think of deprivation...think of the long term benefits you could have by simply making a few adjustments [Coyote16] 2002-02-24 00:11:19

N/A its ok we all have off days [HisBlueRose] 2002-02-16 01:03:39

N/A lolol [HisBlueRose] 2002-02-10 19:51:55

N/A I know what you mean about wanting to be alone. My weight fluctuates alot, and a few years ago I gained 30 lbs. I was with a boyfriend at the time and although I loved him, I was so disgusted with myself, I just wanted to be left alone. I looked like crap, felt like crap, etc. That relationship soon ended b/c I felt so bad, I didn't want to be naked and didn't want to have sex. I have since lost most of the weight, but recently gained a few pounds again, I had the same problem with nudity and sex, and now I fucked up my current relationship. As for your heart pains, I hope you feel better soon. Go see a doctor if it keeps up. [Jenifer2two] 2001-12-09 15:46:12

N/A couldn't agree with you more. the article was annoying. women are taught to be on guard all the time. and the article was one sided. i wonder what the effects are on women. and what the effects watching a sports game or see mouth watering food has on men or women. bet it's the same [about time] 2001-11-16 03:06:58

N/A I Saw the same excerpt and found it quite "annoying"...why do they have to specify MEN ... like us women..need to be on our guards all the time....expecting our boyfriend to Fall head over heels everytime he sees a woman...anyway I found the article a bit cliche..and by the way... I feel GOOD too when I see a georgeous guy...no big scientific lab tests...need to explain the reasons why..god....Human nature..... so simple..and so complex.... [rouquine] 2001-11-15 17:14:50

N/A Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. i know that sounds really silly. But My Ex was the most beauty guy i've ever seen, but none of my friends saw it. There will always be sum one who thinks u are beautyful, even if it is just ur mum or ur bstfriend :p [Livinlavidaloca] 2001-11-11 21:53:17

N/A Hey, good luck with everything. If you make goals then you have no choice but to achieve them! [dextergirl] 2001-11-05 08:06:00

N/A You could start by saying "ten pounds" in a month or two. Once you have the first bit off, you kind of go on a roll. You're more likely to eat good stuff, because you feel better, and you're more happy with the scale... It's just a thought, but whenever I concentrate on the big number, I give up before I've started. [ImissMyLIFE] 2001-11-05 07:59:31

I'm back just wanted to send some love your way. loosing weight is a great sensation but being thin does not make all your problems go away. aside from the health risks of being overweight it is also emotionally draining especially in this waif is in society. sometimes it hurts to go out with all your friends and not even be noticed by anyone. you are a person too and need love and attention also. but no matter how many people tell you you should loose weight (or how often you tel yourself) until that "something" inside pushes you to, you just don;t do anything about it. Keep up wth your journal...its a good way to release pent up frustrations or just get a good vibe about yourself. I don;t know about you but when I am blue I eat and writing has helped ease the angst inside. I have been using an online nutrition diary which has really helped cause I never had a clue as to how much I actually ate. Kraft has one for free which include daily menus. just go to www.kraftfoods.com and click on health and wellness. ok ok I'll shut up now. good luck!!! [lunadelmar] 2001-07-29 21:36:50

I'm back I'm so happy with your weight loss and that you are feeling more focused. I hope you keep writing. [rania] 2001-07-16 14:21:35

N/A what a unique perspective... [rania] 2001-07-16 14:17:57
